Lakes Of Belarus:

Lake Olshitsa is located in Dokshytsy district of Vitebsk region and belongs to the basin of Serguch river (Buzyanka), a left tributary of the river Berezina. It is included in the territory of the Berezinsky Biosphere Reserve. The lake is approximately 3.98 km², with a length of 3.32 km and a maximum width of 1.9 km. The maximum depth of the reservoir is 2.7 m. Beaches are low, swampy, overgrown with willow bushes. It is likely that the name of the lake Olshitsa comes from wood black alder which grows abundantly along the banks. The territory on which the lake situated is mostly swampy, located around the vast forests. The surrounding woods are a lot of blueberry, cranberry.

The lake is inhabited by carp, tench, perch, roach, pike, bream. Fishing at the lake is free of charge. Fishing is permitted on the track and spearfishing.

Right on the lake, only from 10 m, guest house «Olshitsa» is situated. It is a wonderful place to relax in the lap of wildlife. Onsite there is a recreation room, and a playground for barbecue.
