Dnieper river flows on the Vitebsk, Mogilev and Gomel regions. The river is 2201 km, the length of the territory in Belarus is 700 km. Dnieper begins with a small swamp in the Valdai Hills on Smolensk region (Russia) and flows into the Dnieper estuary of the Black Sea. The left tributaries of the Dnieper are Uhlyast, Rzhavka, Sozh, right ones are Orshitsa, Adrov, Lakhva, Drut, Berezina, Pripyat. The river has a gentle and steep banks. Throughout the Dnieper found the shore which reach heights of 10 m. Lying across the Orsha Upland, Central Berezinskaya and Orsha-Mogilev plain Dnieper lowland river rushes gradually expanding to the south. Dnieper basin is connected with the basin of the Western Dvina, Shchara, Bug, Berezina water system, Oginski Canal, the Dnieper-Bug Canal. The biggest city on the Dnieper are Mogilev, Orsha, Rechitsa, Zhlobin, Bykhov, Shklov, Rogachev, Zhlobin.

In the river lives pike, perch, roach, bream, tench, crucian carp, perched, white bream, as well as valuable species such as perch, chub, nase, catfish and others. Amateur and industrial fishing are allowed. In the spring, because of the strong flood of the river, to find good fishing spots can only near towns and villages. By May-June, when the water level drops a bit, you can go fishing in the whole territory. Promising is the place about Bykhov and Rogachev. About Bykhov they caught just south of the city, in any gear.

In the vicinity of the Dnieper River recreation center «Milograd» is situated, with equipped beach and a boat station. There are absolutely a variety of conditions for angling for fishing lovers. In every season you can find a great place for fishing.
