Whitefish European

Whitefish European (Coregonus albula) — species of fresh-water fishes from a genus of the whitefishes which body is squeezed from sides, the back is less convex, than a paunch. The mouth top, the bottom jaw is much longer top and in the middle contains dredging into which the reinforced tip of the top jaw enters. Eyes rather big. Language is seated by hardly noticeable iglovidny teeth. Behind a back fin well expressed fatty fin is located.
In Belarus it is widespread in lakes of Belarusian Poozerya (basins of the Western Dvina Rivers and Neman). Lives in average and deep-water lakes of mezotrofny and evtrofny types with the expressed temperature stratification, a satisfactory gas mode on all horizons and availability of sand-gravel soil.
