Rudeya Reservoir is a quiet and picturesque corner of nature located 16 kilometers southeast of Mogilev, on the border of the Mogilev and Chausy districts. Created in 1987 on the Rudeya River, it serves for land irrigation, fish farming, and recreation. At the confluence of the Ilmenka stream and the Chernyavka River, cozy bays are formed, giving the reservoir a distinctive charm. The reservoir stretches for 12 kilometers with a width of about 0.7 km; its area is 3.9 km², and the maximum depth reaches 7.6 meters. It is a calm and clean body of water, ideal for swimming. Its sandy, winding shores, surrounded by trees and shrubs, create a secluded natural atmosphere. In summer, it is a pleasant place for swimming, sunbathing, and camping. The reservoir is especially appreciated by anglers: it is home to rudd, roach, tench, bream, crucian carp, bleak, perch, ruffe, white bream, and pike — a rich variety of fish that makes fishing enjoyable and rewarding.
