Eel European or ordinary

Eel European or ordinary (Anguillaanguilla) —species of predatory katadromny fishes from family acne which body is strongly squeezed from sides and it is extended, has the classical serpentine form, completely covered with very small, hardly noticeable cheshuyka, along a body back and anal fins are extended, and belly completely are absent. The head приплюснута, rather small mouth is covered with small, sharp teeth. Coloring of an eel: back black or dark-brown, sides and a belly — yellow-white. And only before migration from fresh waters in the sea, coloring of an eel considerably changes, getting a characteristic silvery shade. Besides, the eel can perfectly change the coloring depending on a substratum on which lives.
Lives in the rivers and the lakes of Belarus, enters a natural way from the Baltic Sea, however with strengthening of trade, control of the rivers by dams and pollution of the reservoirs, natural calling considerably decreased. In the territory of Belarus the eel is marked out in waterways of the basin of the river Pripyat.
